OSCAR AND THE WOLF’s debut EP IMAGINE MOUNTAINS was released in April 2011. The single “Pastures” received airplay on national radio.
The first show they played in their hometown Ghent sold out quickly. Though that only the marked the beginning, playing extraordinary venues in Brussels, Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Bruges, London and Paris. So far OSCAR AND THE WOLF have supported the likes of Warpaint, Ben Howard, Villagers, Tom Smith, Mogwai, Julia Stone and Lou Reed.
This summer marks a new chapter in the rising story of OSCAR AND THE WOLF. Their new SUMMER SKIN EP is set to be released across Europe on the 25th of June by PIAS {International}. The mini-album was produced by Robin Proper-Sheppard (Sophia, The God Machine) and recorded over 4 weeks in a desolated church in Belgium
This summer they’ll tour through France and The Netherlands. They’ll also play an exclusive Belgian festival show at Pukkelpop 2012.
In the fall they’ll tour through Europe to promote the SUMMER SKIN EP. September will see them touring through Germany and in October they’ll visit Switzerland for a few shows.
The future looks bright for OSCAR AND THE WOLF this is only the second chapter in their story…
