OSC- Obediant Servant of Christ

The Holy Hip-Hop artist Charles L. Burks, as known as OSC, was born in Monroe,LA, shortly after his birth he and his family moved to Northern California. During this time he got to experience the west coast way of living and was introduced to the west coast genre of rap.

During his youth his Grandmother would sit him on her knee and would read him the word of GOD. Later in life as she grew old she was unable to read and OSC began to read her the word of GOD, when he had a better understanding of the word.

Maturing in Christ and as a young man, OSC realized that he had a calling on his life as a rapper. At the tender age of 18 he began raping for the streets. OSC lived the street life in Texas from 18 years of age until he was 27 when it all came to a abrupt halt when he was incarcerated. While incarcerated for living the street life, the Lord transformed him and brought OSC back to the cross. After being released from jail he dropped his 1st album in Texas. A little while later the Lord moved him back to his birth place Monroe,LA., where he released his 2nd album "No Stopping Me". The album was a great success! It's up for the Holy Hip-hop album of the year, Holy Hip-hop song of the year, and he's up for Artist of the year, by the Rhythm Of Gospel Music Awards. Among other appearances OSC has been on 1680 am The Word, with Mark Edom a popular radio show in Monroe as well as club 1680 with D. J. Crossover another popular gospel radio show. With the nominations for the awards this is affirming OSC not only that GOD found him worthy but the church as well, like Moses in the wilderness not only GOD but the children of Israel found him worthy of the calling GOD has ordained him with and that's a great Holy Hip Hop Artist OSC.
