O'Shea

BandCountryPop

A version of pop/country, O'SHEA has been on national television over the past year and has a very successful weekly show in Nashville that has become the talk of the town and the "must see" show.

Biography

Individually Mark and Jay O’Shea have an impressive string of performing and writing credits that span the globe. In their Australian birthplace, they’ve won CMAA awards, the equivalent to the U.S.’s CMA Awards; they’ve opened for the likes of Keith Urban, Switchfoot and Hall & Oates; and they’ve also written songs that soared to No. 1 on the pop charts in Europe!
With Jay’s country-soul voice blending perfectly with Mark’s country-rock sensibilities, it’s a match made in heaven. The O'SHEA shows are legendary among locals in Nashville, not only for the killer songs and vocals, but for their complete spontaneity and unpredictability. It's not uncommon for O'SHEA to serve the audience vegemite or award random prizes (Best Use of Facial Hair) and guest stars like Kim Carnes, Tommy Emmanuel and Emerson Drive have been known to sit in.
Coming off the back of the huge national exposure they received by placing in the Top 5 on the 2009 series of CMT’s smash hit “Can You Duet”, O’SHEA have hit the road and been opening for everyone from Sara Evans to The Oakridge Boys!
If their regular write-ups in leading country publications (Country Weekly, Music Row Mag & and a feature in Nashville Lifestyles “Hot List”) and their fanatical hard core fans are anything to go by, O’SHEA are set for big things!
