Other Passengers = JAMC meets BRMC meets Joy Division meets David Lynch in Alphabet City circa David Dinkins era. SO GOOD. "Good" is a band descriptor thrown around a lot these days, and hell there are a lot of good bands out there right now, but in the case Other Passengers, everyone I've spoken to who has seen their handful of live shows or heard their demo has employed the more reserved for greatness term of "love" as in “Other Passengers - I fucking love that band". Well, obviously add me to the soon to be growing exponentially number of bandwagoners to the love parade. What struck me most about them, is the fact they they struck me so damn hard with their live show - no gimmicks to trixed us, no light show to dazzle us, just dark raw unadulterated power - they type of which appears to be channeled from some Mordor-esque place that some of us can only have nightmares about. At the critical mass points of their songs, where all hell breaks loose, the five members of Other Passengers become electrocuted live wires, spontaneously writhing and exploding in rock music - something that has to be seen to be be fully appreciated. Just listen to this Theendisthebeginningistheend... - and close your eyes and you'll get a little taste of the real thing, which is definitely not to be missed. – Jenyk.com

More trippy than you would expect? Other Passengers must have been making some good chemicals lately. If only they would be so kind as to share some of them with us. But wait, they have, just listen. The formula is a follows, pour a bit of fuzz into the mix, then a dash of angular guitars, a scoop of underwater (sounding) vocals, 5 young lads, a ton of magic mushrooms (psychedelics), and stir it up. Take a sip, sit back and wait for the Other Passengers formula to take effect. – Lio Cerezo, Crashin’ In

Because of some unidentifiable chemistry, they seem to act as one body, grabbing the necks of the songs from the beginning, and shaking hard until they've wrung every sound out of their instruments. Each song is written with one cathartic moment that allows the music to explode into what can be called sound wreckage. That night at Sin-e Other Passengers hosted a spooky, elongated ride on a volume dial, sure to make fans out of those of us who feel like Sonic Youth's live show is too mellow. The audience loved it. -The Deli Magazine - The Deli.com
We've been waiting on the inevitable "what's next" in the NYC scene ever since the anticlimactic 2003 CMJ Music Marathon where nothing new of note really happened on the local front and some doomsayers were even predicting the demise of the hipster kingdom as we knew it. Well... reports of such are greatly exaggerated as evidenced by the coming out parties last week of three bands who will be spearheading the rise of dark wave in NYC and henceforth, the world…Other Passengers - won't find any three chord shuffles or vintage goth gear here. It's all about the music, baby - muddy, smoky, chunky, dirty, sexy, brash, jolting, arresting, fighter jets over Iceland music. Music to evolve a revolution to." - Jenyk.com
