Bio

O'The Sound was made in my junior year of high school in Old Town Orange, at El Modena High School. How it was formed still amazes me to this day. My drummer/best friend (Paul) didn't want to drum for me due to he had another band at that time. So I went on to do my own thing with some friends. Every year at our school they would hold a talent show called Coffee Night. The song I wrote just consisted of two guitars and bass. So we did what we could. It turned out that everyone enjoyed the song a lot. I had people coming up to me I've never met in my life, parents telling me that your music will go somewhere one day. When Paul found out about the performance, our set on making music took off. Our influences comes from bands from today like Delta Spirit, Red Cortez, Monsters Of Folk, and The Blank Tapes to just name a few. But our biggest influences is our dear friends The Slings. They took us under their wing and really inspired us to make music. Basically showed us how to create our own sound. What sets us apart from other bands is still unknown to me. We're not cocky when we play at shows. All the bands we've played in the past have told us we're very humble. But what I can say is that we do change some views on the people when they watch us live. So our story for O'The Sound is just two friends wanting to make music as their dream. We put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into our music and hold it very dearly to us. But if the world thinks O'The Sound isn't its cup of tea. We wont look at it wrong, we like to view as just having fun. -Mason
