Otsego

There's not a raucous pile-up of foot-stomping, yelling and unexpectedly melodic alt-country quite like New York's four-piece outfit Otsego. Jake Goldman's wry lyrics and Dan Luddy's psychedelic-rock-infused drums lend an edge to the rootsy tones of Evan Simko-Bednarski's electric guitars and Adam Read-Brown's soulful viola.

Drawing from influences as diverse as Whiskeytown, The Avett Brothers, REM and Cream, Otsego plays tunes that give an unfamiliar edge to a well-worn sound. Otsego's aim is simple: create honest and heart-felt music that everyone can identify with.

Fresh from recording their forthcoming EP deep in the hills of upstate New York, Otsego has been playing to packed houses across New York City, at venues such as The Living Room, Lakeside Lounge, and The National Undergroud. Their live shows are an exciting mixture of emotion and energy that radiates out into the crowd. These guys have fun on stage and are going to bring the audience along for the ride.
