Otto's Daughter offers that rare combination of edgy electric rock with clarity of musical purpose. The instrumentation is clear and well produced, and the vocals by Jacqueline Van Bierk are superior to say the least. European transplant/Singer/Songwriter Jacqueline van Bierk formed Otto's Daughter in NYC, circulating the goth/underground scene for several years. September 11th changed everything. Guitarist Jim Robbins answered JVB's ad while he was working at Ground Zero. He was interested in joining the band for a week long tour to New Orleans. He ended up staying and collaborating with Jacqueline. The sound evolved and became more guitar driven, a maelstrom of electronic pop-metal.
Shortly after moving to Los Angeles, they released their 5 song EP "The Becoming 001". The Entire EP is currently being featured on several CW Network trailers [ Vampire Diaries; One Tree Hill; Gossip Girl; 90210; Tyra Banks Show ]. A U.S. tour in support of the EP followed.
The band then released the full length titled "A New Kind Of Heroine"; which also featured tracks that were placed in various cable shows [ MTV; MTV2; VH1; Discovery Channel; History Channel;] as well as several Independent Films.
OD recently released a limited EP titled "Living The Dream" - featuring tracks from their upcoming full length CD of the same title. They just finished up their U.S. Summer Tour, and are currently back into the studio completing the upcoming release with Producer Erik Ron.
Jacqueline's unique voice and style stand out from the typical female fronted bands in the genre. OD's live performance is packed with high energy; raw power; in your face vocals; mesmerizing and breath taking; dangerous, yet beautiful. OD delivers a ton of power and unforgettable hooks.
