Our Beautiful Selves (OBS) is an up and coming duo hailing from Hamilton, New Zealand. Born out of a conversation about how everyone needs to believe in and treat their beautiful selves more kindly, their name encompasses how they see others.
Kevin Howard's silky smooth lead vocals brings a song to life and makes you stop what ever it is you are doing - any songwriters dream. Kepa Maika's compositions are a culmination of desire, passion and inspiration.
Kepa first noticed Kevin singing in a local butcher in Hamilton, where Kevin thought he was quietly singing away to himself, and the rest is history. The boys have a unique acoustic harmony hard to find these days amidst a flurry of over production and vocal tedium. Heavily influenced by the RnB sounds of 90s, 80s and older, you’ll no doubt hear a few tunes you know, mixed in with catchy originals you'll be humming long after they are finished. No gimmicks and no tricks – you get what you see; two boys singing from their heart to you
