: FOREVER GROOVE : Ouroboros [or-roh-bor-ous] uses the raw sound of four horns, drums and vocals to bring you heavy dance grooves and melodies inspired by cultures from around the world. This blistering 5-piece explores, tears apart, and wails over everything from stanky funk, to Balkan party jams. Named after an ancient Greek symbol for cyclicality, the band's mission is to keep you dancin' and groovin' and dancin' and groovin' and dancin and groovin'...
Last Summer, in partnership with the Sound Symposium, Ouroboros completed a visiting artist intensive with American composer and saxophonist Jessica Lurie. After an electrifying performance with Lurie, the band was promptly invited to play at the 2015 Guelph Jazz Festival. During that time, the quintet also played at the Wreckhouse International Jazz and Blues festival, the Art Marathon Music Festival and were featured performers at the Rotary Music Festival Jazz Night.

Now the band has released their first full length album and remounted their role as the on stage house band for Wonderbolt Circus' Bolt Out of the Blue. In May, the band will be playing for an international audience at the C2 conference in Montreal. In Fall 2015, the band plans to do a mainland festival release tour based around an appearance at the Guelph Jazz Festival.

With Greg Bruce, Susan Evoy, Chris Harnett, and Nicole Hand on the horns; Andrew McCarthy on drums, Ouroboros is happy to bring a fresh new sound to Newfoundland and Labrador and beyond. Please visit www.yourouroboros.com to stay in touch with the band.
