"EP Review"

There are several reasons why Our Time Down Here are nothing short of amazing. One, they're named after a quote from The Goonies. Two, they play the same kind of Lifetime/Kid Dynamite-inspired pop-punk that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Three, well, just listen. They're awesome. Another band coming out of the south coast scene (seriously, what is it with Brighton and Southampton bands right now, producing seven shades of awesome constantly), Our Time Down Here have the passionate spark which so many bands seem to be lacking right now. It's that kind of fist-in-the-air feel which really ignites something and gets my musical juices flowing. It's that passion and emotion in the vocals, how you can just tell the band mean what they are saying - that's what makes this band so, so good. They don't re-invent the wheel, they just play ballsy, bombastic melodic hardcore with a poppy punch. 'Revelations' and 'Clear To Go!' are two excellent tracks on a fantastic EP. It's one of the best UK releases in ages and ages and you'd be a fool to not give them a listen. - Punktastic.com Webzine

"Big Cheese Magazine Band of the Week."

Calling all fans of positive melodic hardcore punk! With more energy than a triathlon athlete, this Southampton quartet are making a name for themselves on the live circuit, having ripped it up playing with bands such as Comeback Kid, Bane and A Wilhelm Scream. Their passionate and honest hardcore punk is taking the underground by storm and winning over new fans every step of the way. Their ‘How Close We Came To Chaos’ 2006 self-titled LP got things off to a powerful start and last year’s 7-track self-titled EP on Nothing To Prove rammed their point home. Having recently signed with Punktastic Recordings, this four-piece play the kind of powerful, upbeat hardcore punk that will have you singing, pumping your fist in the air and stage diving. Did we mention they were named after The Goonies? Awesome.

Southampton w/ Set Your Goals, No Trigger & Chaos Days
Opening tonight are Southampton’s Our Time Down Here. The band’s short 20 minute set is a great way to start the evening and lift the energy of the packed out floor. OTDH’s fast, positive hardcore is really well received and a nice change to the continual stream of bands who rely on breakdowns. With support slots with Comeback Kid, Bane and A Wilhelm Scream under their belts and a brand new mini album just released this is a band with huge potential. - Planet-loud.com
