""Rock and Roll Theater""

"Rock and Roll Theater: Trinity Rose of local band Out Damned Spot sings with a sensuous alto voice projected with that singular Broadway vibrato, but no further comparison should be made to musicals à la The Phantom of the Opera. ODS sound more like the down-and-dirty Hedwig and the Angry Inch, replete with distorted buzz saw guitar, pounding drums, pulsating bass, and moments of sweet, sweet melody straight out of the garage. Join them as they perform originals and the complete score of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Well, in truth, there's no Sondheim, but they rock more than enough for anyone not named Elvis." - Alex Fong, San Francisco Bay Guardian

""a voice that entices the mind to listen deeply in melodies that can make your imagination run wild""

"Out Damned Spot sounds as if it has a firm grasp on not only the sound they are looking for, but manage to put every different type of music into a melting pot, and produce magic. "Blind" is a perfect mix of electric and acoustic sounds, with a voice that entices the mind to listen deeply in melodies that can make your imagination run wild. Its simply incredible, and almost leaves me speechless. " - Chaotic Reviews

Bio

When guitarist Anthony Barrie and vocalist Trinity Nay first started playing together in August 2004, Trinity had a very clear goal for their music, "I want to break through the apathy. I want to make people feel." With haunting melodies and lyrics exploring the depths of human relations and societal dysfunction, Out Damned Spot is doing just that.

Out Damned Spot is pleased to announce the release of their debut album, a self titled collection of some of their fans' favorite songs. It is available for download on bandcamp.com, where users can name their own price. A limited edition physical release is planned for the near future.

This four piece indie-rock band has built a solid local following by playing venues in and around the San Francisco Bay Area and sparked international interest through their website and Myspace page. Some of Out Damned Spot's venues have included Bottom of the Hill, 330 Ritch, the Oakland Metro, Edinburgh Castle, Jelly's and Hotel Utah. They have billed with a diverse array of musicians including Audrye Sessions, Birdmonster, Passionistas, Poor Bailey, Narc, Bento, Hot Mute, Sign for Stereo, Plum, Slow Motion Cowboy (Pete from Trainwreck Riders), Wilson Gil and the Willful Sinners, My Revolver, The Jonah Kit and other local favorites.
