Bio

IN AUGUST, '12 Outpost released a new LP, "Year Of Refinement," the third full length album for the Portland, OR based reggae rock crew. In 15 original songs, Outpost weaves reggae grooves and bass laden tracks with lyrics of hope and transition in a true refinement of their North West style.
Chris Couch, Brian "tmpIll" Merz and Philip "P.Hill" Hunker's words and harmonies emanate across deep bass, rock, electronic, and acoustic tracks set up by bassist Steve Lennartz and new comers Mike Apodaca on drums and Nate York on guitar. "Year of Refinement" comes off as their most polished and focused effort yet.

Tracks like "Vibes," "Twisted Madrone,"and "iRecharge" showcase Outpost's ability to set the grove and keep the vibrations high. Tracks like "1 Armed Robbery" and "Potential" are prime examples of how the band is evolving to include the ever expanding electronic horizons. This versatility has allowed the band to expand their sound and fan base while keeping true to their conscious music roots.

Six years deep in the North West music community, Outpost has been carving their own niche out the West Coast reggae rock scene. With appearances in support of Groundation, Tribal Seeds, Anthony B and slots in festivals up and down the West Coast, Outpost is poised and ready to spread their music to an ever expanding fan base.

The message is simple...
Love and Light. Peace and Positivity. Consciousness and Responsibility. Good Vibrations.
