It was spring of 2006 in a bustling Ukrainian city of Odessa, when four friends - Mikhail Ivanov, Valentin Voedilo, Dmitry Shvets and Alexander Laskorunsky - decided to form a rock band. And not just any band, but the one that is not going to abide by any rules and restrictions in pursuing the only goal: to create first-class rock music. Thus, The Outstars were born.
In 2 years, guys managed to acquire their own studio and have been working hard writing and recording new songs - one after another. “No Rules, No Laws, No Orders, No Restrictions” is the title of the upcoming CD and, more importantly, a motto that plays a dominating role in life of the band and its members. With each new song - as always, written and performed in English - they have grown more and more confident that album’s future is going to be promising. «Its explosive energy will force even the most sluggish, boring person to wake up and start having fun» - say Outstars.
It took some time before Outstars have forged their characteristic style, which music critics attribute to Brit Rock. After much experimenting with synth and drum machines, guys have realized that nothing substitutes live human energy – so everyone took his instrument to express individual musical passion. Still, electronic sampling is prominently featured in many band’s songs.
And so, the debut album is going to be daring and ambitious effort that reflects personality of each musician and distinctive musical vision of The Outstars. - Outstars
