Bio
Ananda Lima is nana. She is 22 and was born in Catu, Bahia, Brazil. She currently lives in Salvador, where she studies Musical Composition in the Federal University of Bahia. Besides singing and playing many instruments, nana also composes and arranges all of her songs. Being an one-woman-band, she plays the keyboards, melodic, kaossilators, several toy instruments and electronic playbacks, creating live tiny different atmospheres for every song. Her lyrics go through everyday things but they also try to bring a bit of a dreamy feeling, with synesthetic elements. Her main influences go from brazilian bossa-nova to shoegaze and chanson française.
She's been featured in several projects, including compilations, re-arranging of other artists, and playing in international radios, such as Radio Campus Paris, and Amazing Radio, invited by Ruth Barnes from The Other Woman. In Brazil, she made the opening concert to Ben Kweller and duo Finlandia, and had the chance to record her first live concert in one of the best venues of her hometown. In July 2013 nana is going to an artist-in-residence program in Russia.
