The beginnings of the band started when guitarist Edward Kim met bassist Sean Dusoe in the fall of 2005. The two discovered not only similar interests in musical tastes, but also that they had a strong writing chemistry together
In the fall of 2006, Edward Kim moved to Boston, Massachusetts to start attending classes at the prestigious Berklee College of Music where he met both keyboardist Young Lee and drummer Travis Shore. After the first couple jam sessions, it became apparent that they shared a musical bond similar to the one between Kim and Sean Dusoe. From there, the group was formed.
Over Legend began writing and rehearsing in the fall of 2007. The band quickly gained fans at Berklee as people would line up outside their usual practice room to listen to their tight progressive playing melded with an aggressive metal edge. After their constant gigs around Boston, as well as their first brief southern tour, starting in Greensboro, North Carolina in the summer of 2008, audiences became captivated by the fury of notes, strong melodic hooks and high-energy stage shows.
Over Legend continues to work together with aspirations of touring the world and reaching listeners across the planet. Their passion and drive pushes their determination to offer fresh and unique sounds.
