OVERMIND

The only rule that Overmind follows is that the Overmind makes the rules, and the Overmind can change the rules. The trio that comprises Overmind does not try to follow or predict trends. Songs are written from the heart and the balls … but mostly the balls. At square one, there are no boundaries to an Overmind song, but in the end, a hard-rock, in-your-face style and attitude always comes through.
The first thing that strikes you about the Overmind live show is that Bugs, the drummer, does the majority of the wailing. He’s a character whose scathing vocal style combined with his runaway locomotive brand of timekeeping always manages to intrigue and astonish. He developed his urgent musical presence in various bands while he corrupted The Sunset Strip in Hollywood. This Canadian, with his icy demeanor and razor sharp wit, never fails to give you exactly what you want …. Something.
David Axe hails from the mean streets of Detroit, Michigan. He began expressing his defiant nature on guitar at the early age of ten, often to the dismay of his neighbors, and has been burning the frets ever since. After several years of working hard to stay out of jail, he packed up his Les Paul and Marshall stack for the land of sunshine, opportunity, and the occasional riot—Southern California.
No one knows much about the mysterious Alex ___. All that is known is that he has worked in the porn industry and his bass lines are as unique as his twisted mind.
With Overmind’s music, no subject matter is off limits. Most songs come from a dark, desperate, depraved angle. Often rage is the prevalent emotion balanced by pinpoint social commentary or a glimpse into the forgotten person’s shoes. Sarcastic, dark, moody, graphic, and energizing all characterize an Overmind performance
