OverTime Boyz

Whether it’s a 9-5, School, or a passion, anyone can relate to the Overtime Boyz mentality. “We do this for all the underdogs who be working hard and put in that overtime to achieve their goals; and being that we’re asian, we feel that we represent and stand for all the asian underdogs that came up in the same life and environment as we did.” Says Rick Dealz.

Overtime Boyz is an asian american independent rap/hip-hop group based in Philadelphia, PA. formed in 2016. The group consists of Rick Dealz, Ajhie Le Grandeur, and Chyfizza. Overtime Boyz brings together diverse cultures and style with Rick Dealz being Japanese from Hawaii, Ajhie being Indonesian from LA, and Chyfizza being Cambodian from Philadelphia.

On stage or off, their presence is well known and seems to draw everyone towards them. “We channel the grit and griminess of this part of south Philadelphia into our music, turning the darkness into something positive” says Chyfizza and this is something that really shows in their music. 

The Overtime Boyz definitely stand out from the rest of the crowd with their rhyme patterns, their stage presence, and overall sound as a group. They treat their show and stage presence as if it were a punk/rock show, always jumping, always hype, and always getting everyone involved.

Overtime Boyz have traveled all around the US having done shows in Hawaii, Atlanta, New Jersey, and Philadelphia. They’ve released their first EP “Road Runnerz” (executively produced by Swizzy Mack & Joji Ruffin) in the Spring of 2017 and  recently released their new album “Wolves At The Door” summer 2018.

There's no doubt in how hard they are working and it shows. Their single "Outta My Way" (released Dec. 24, 2017) hit over 44K streams and our other single "All I Need" (released May 23, 2018) hit over 30k streams on Spotify. Every video they put out hits over 10K views (some over 20k).

Although this group has just gotten together, they’ve worked with Southside of 808 Mafia, Wooh Da Kid of Brick Squad, Alley Boy and trouble of Duct Tape. Overtime Boyz also has worked with Tampa Mystic, 520 promotions, DJ alamo, DJ culture, many of the CORE DJS, Videographers YSKSK and various other local artists.

Rick Dealz has also dropped a mixtape “A New Religion” hosted by Empire and a mixtape “Diamond In The Ruff” hosted by DJ Ace. Rick Dealz currently has singles “A Piece” Ft. Alley Boy Prod. by Southside, “They know” Ft. Trouble, “Trap Life” Ft. Wooh Da Kid, and “Losin My Mind” all on all digital platforms.

They are definitely working overtime and diligently to strive and will be sure to succeed in this business.
