Ove Støylen

BandCountrySinger/Songwriter

We express my songs in a country/pop/rock genre. My two already released albums are in the style of Alan Jackson but we are now working on our style to make it even more modern. We've played in 6 countries all over Europe in these last three years at the biggest countryfestivals.

Biography

My music is own written and we mix the show with well known coversongs in our own way. My biggest idol is Alan Jackson but we listen to and get great inspiration from artist like Keith Urban/Brad Paisley/Toby Keith. Our biggest assests are probably Oves voice and the bands arrogant way of playing country..Ove Stoylen got to be well known in 2004 all over the country with his debut album Dusty Boots.

HOPELESSLY

A D A
When I called you last night on the phone
E
I wondered if you were sleeping alone
A D A
Or were you out searching thrills with your brand new man
D E A
At times it hurts me like it will not end

Does he make love like I used to do
Does he help you with the things I did for you
Does he dream the dream we shared
Or is he gentle in your bed
I’m just thinking and suffering by myself

Refreng
A E
Well this black fire inside of me
D A
Ignites the spark of my misery
E
My rundown heart is killing me
F#m D
I don’t know how this will be
A
I just dream, hopelessly
How are the kids, are they learning new things?
Do they see that we no longer wear our rings?
Who will take them to their games?
Who will call out their names?
May I come to visit them today?

You think you know what I dream about
But you have never really dreamt with me for years

So I can learn how to love - So I can learn how to love

My book is halfway finished now
It’s getting harder to read
I wish somebody would show me how
To plant old seeds

I hope there’s lot of pages left to write
So we can learn how to feel
I hope there’s lot of pictures to be taken
So we can learn how to love - So we can learn how to love
