Owen Vahey

Owen Vahey is a fresh new Dublin based Singer-Songwriter, who blends catchy rhythms with heartfelt lyrics to create a unique Acoustic Folk sound. Hailing from Co. Meath in Ireland, Owen has been living in Dublin for the past 4 years, studying Philosophy whilst honing his craft as a songwriter and performer in various venues across the city. While Ireland is home to some of the most exciting and interesting singer-songwriters operating in the business today, Owen offers something different through his keen eye for melody and lyric, while maintain that searing honesty and powerful delivery that has become synonymous with Irish performers over the last few decades. Having played gigs all across Dublin and Ireland in the past, Owen played as an International Showcase Act at the Reykjavk Melodica Acoustic Festival in August 2012. Owen has recently finished recording his first EP to be released in 2014.
