Bio

Owl in the Sun play melody-driven, original acoustic songs that combine guitar, accordion, banjo, fiddle, flute, double bass, rhodes piano and drums with rich vocal harmonies.

The Album 'Outside the City Way of Things' was released in October 2009. One of the tracks was selected by BBC Introducing and made it onto the Radio 1 playlist in March 2011. ("If ever there was a song to drink a pint of cider to, that was it......Absolutely gorgeous!" Fearne Cotton)

ALBUM REVIEWS
"This is a lovely album of songs which are wittily written, artfully arranged and niftily played. I'm a big fan!" MARK KERMODE. "Absolutely lovely" BOB HARRIS.

LIVE REVIEWS
“Song-orientated, lots of acoustic instruments, emotions and energies from outside the city way of things. The class of the writing, the energy and the not-bowing-the-knee to the most obvious influences really do mark these guys out as something above the average.” BATH FRINGE FESTIVAL.
“Wonderful, accessible songs enhanced by a truly warm stage presence. One of those great bands that subconciously have you smiling and tapping your feet as soon as they play. The audience reaction was fantastic and I would recommend everything about them” BREWHOUSE THEATRE AND ARTS CENTRE, TAUNTON.
