Ox

Father, Husband, Artist, These are the words that Christopher (Ox) Wilkes uses to describe himself. He is humble. He doesn't consider himself to be a star nor does he ask for you to think of him as one but it is clear that Mr. Wilkes is just that... A Star.

Born in Detroit Michigan, Music has always played a major role in Christopher's life. As a child his Mother quickly discovered the easiest way to comfort her son was playing music. In fact Christopher spent the majority of his early childhood listening to classic Soul, Blues and Funk effectively creating the the foundation for his distinctive style of music.

Even at a young age Christopher gained public attention and stood out from the crowd. He participated in his schools gifted arts program and appeared in the news regularly after competing semi nationally in the Odyssey of the Mind program. It was at this venue that Christopher performed for the first time in front of a large audience.

In his teenage years Christopher's parents parted ways. He became anti social and completely absorbed himself in his arts. He honed his artistic ability to the point he was offered a residence at a college of the arts. Unfortunately due to personal Issues he was forced to decline.

Christopher does not have a story book artist's background. He doesn't come from money, In all honesty for most of his life he was well under the poverty line. He doesn't come from fame, In fact as far as he knows he's not even related to somebody thats related to somebody you know.
Mr. Wilkes is an average man with above average potential. The difference is he is using that potential to the fullest.

By 21, Christopher (Ox) Wilkes had completly broken out of his shell. He Was a military veteran, a father, a husband and had been around the world twice. He had gained international airplay and Climbed to top ten status on his regions CMJ music charts. He had worked with influential artist and companies globally and made a name for himself in the european entertainment market. By 27 He had traveled the world once more Worked with several major music labels, companies, corporations and solidified a fan base in the worlds asian population. He also managed to support his now growing family of four, contribute to several multimillion dollar projects, put his wife thru college and just about finish up his own degree.

In 2009 Ox has plans to start his own Media Marketing firm, Complete his degree and Release his first Official project on his own record label SoulOne Music. The title of the album will be Tillman St. After the first street he ever lived on. If art reflects life at all then this project will a well presented well rounded power house that speaks to us all with a whole lot of soul.
