Oxygen Thieves

Oxygen Thieves

 Brighton, England, GBR
BandAlternativeRock

Powerful vibe for a three piece with big, catchy songs that will get inside your head and will not leave without a fight. Huge guitar lines, gloriously danceable bass and hard-hitting drums are completed with edgy, aggressive vocals - lyrically a witty (and sometimes cruel) social commentary.

Biography

I'm Charlie McConnochie. I've just turned 17 and have been gigging around Brighton with my acoustic guitar a year or so now, falling into a nice little gigging scene in Brighton playing with Bimm Students and the like, establishing myself as something more than just another "singer/songwriter".
My songs were always designed to be played in a band and from the day we first practised with Oxygen Thieves, it was imminent just why that is.
Been gigging with the band from July, playing as many shows as we can and cramming in as many underage fans as possible for a good old dance until we all get kicked out. Highlights of these few months have been supporting The Kut on a sold out date of their UK Tour at The Lectern which involved us selling 40 tickets and also supporting fantastic electronic duo Curxes at Sticky Mike's Bar.
With a huge range of influences from Elvis Costello & The Clash to Nirvana & The Pixies which shows in the the ambition of our songs.
We finally made some decent recordings before parting ways with our drummer who just wasn't interested or committed enough. Now we are back with a great drummer ,even more and that same mentality of determination to take over the world.
