"A UNIQUE SHOW"

"The common everyday language of European Jews regained life in a the unique Klezmer show of Oy Division"
http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-3381265,00.html
- Gabby Noyman, Ynet

"Viva la klezmer!"

"Unlike the many klezmer bands which include influences like drum and bass, avantgarde
jazz or even bluegrass, Oy Division focuses on a pure roots klezmer sound
from old Europe…The members of Oy Division are all professionals... klezmer
purists, championing the sound of a bygone age from before the Holocaust and the
birth of Israel... Viva la klezmer!"
- Gavriel Fiske, Jerusalem Post, March 2007

"Dirtier and wilder than you can imagine"

"Oy Division and Noam Inbar bring back to life the forgotten folk music of Eastern European Jews, the Klezmer… Dirtier and wilder than you can imagine, Klezmer is
back!" - www.habama.co.il

Bio

Oy Division is a traveling museum spreading the tradition of its members' ancestors, a dramatic Jewish mix of sorrow and joy.
The band members are all top Israeli recording artists from different musical fields. Eyal Talmudi is the reed player for the Balkan Beat Box, Noam Inbar is the leader of the acclaimed punk-folk band Ha'biluyim and Assaf Talmudi is one of Israel's busiest record producers.
In spite being a young act, Oy Division has played successfully around the world including Canada, the U.S.A., Far East and Europe , as well as having on going tours and collaborations in Israel.
In 2008 Oy Division was invited to play 2 shows at the Krakow Jewish Tradition Festival, the most important Jewish music festival worldwide. Oy Division was also the festival's designated house band playing every night in the after hour sessions. With great help and support from the other musicians attending the festival the band led improvised folk raves that lasted till dawn and were so popular that the street outside of the famous "Alchimya" club had to be closed off to accommodate the crowds.
