Floyd VanLaningham grew up in Fresno, Ca (heavily influenced by Bakersfield sound)Floyd later moved to Nashville , TN (Heavily Influenced by Nashville)
Floyd has traveled through the states and around the world many times as a headliner and opener. He has opened for Merle Haggard,Buck Owens,Hal Kechum,Tracy Lawrence,Travis Tritt,Darryll Worley,Tracy Bird,Marty Raybon,Sawyer Brown,Tim McGraw,David Frizzell,Etc.
Floyd has had two of his songs featured in Films. The most noted one being "Looking Through The Window" Featured in an ALAN AUTRY movie titled "Jake Kinkaid"
In Febuary 2007 Floyd released "No Grave For The Flowers" landing in a number 2 position on one of the Inspiational charts and appearing on several other independent charts.
