I began my relationship with hip hop in the mid eighties. KRS One was my inspiration, and from there I developed a love for the positive messages that the culture embraced. I formed a group with friends called "Epitome", and we performed at every chance even having the opportunity to perform at two back-to-back "How Can I Be Down" conferences. Shortly after that we were offered a recording contract with a company called EKG Records in Miami, FL for a remix of a song on the demo. One of the members apparently could not handle what was about to happen, and he decided to leave the group. That of course caused us to lose the deal. Over the years I have stayed sharp, and sharpened my production skills. I am focused no producing, and eventually releasing albums whether it is through me, or anther label. I once rented a car with a friend and drove from Broward County, FL to NY stopping at many points in between just to promote my music. My fondest memory is when we left the container of chicken on the middle seats, and it soaked all the way to the foam. We put 5800 miles on that van in four days. My album is called "Blindfold" due to the fact there are a lot of people in, and out of the industry who walk around with their eyes closed shut. They have no clue, and only copy what they see being displayed on BET, MTV, etc. "There's more to hip-hop than hoes, guns, and smoking joints".
