Opening acts include a wide variety and variations of music. Corey P. Goss awaits backstage and says one more prayer before the stage director gives him the nod to make his way to the stage. P. Takes one more sip of Gatorade and grabs his towel and heads down the hallway for the walk to what he loves doing the most in the world…entertaining the people.

Corey P. Goss did not come from humble beginnings but grew up in a middle-class neighborhood in Suffolk, VA. He grew up in a two-parent household and went to a private school and eventually went on to get his Bachelors from Virginia State University. The art of rapping was not introduced to him until his freshman year of high school, where he and two other classmates formed a rap group that became popular at the school and at the local church. After performing together for about 2 years P. was a instant standout. He was also the only one serious about perusing music as a career in the group. He was now a senior in high school and ready to take on bigger and better things.

While attending VSU things began to take off from there! He was very popular on campus and was a household name in all the residence halls and at the hot spots on campus. He won just about every talent show he entered in at the school, and was always a opening act for homecoming concerts. He was truly a campus legend by the time he graduated from VSU in 2009. Perfecting his craft even more P. has released 1 album and 3 mixtapes, these projects have paved the way for him to share stages with hip hop royalty such as Nicki Minaj, and the Clipse, and also his positive message has opened doors to be on stages with major gospel acts like Ce Ce Winans, Tye Tribett, GI, Cross Movement, etc. He has also headlined his own east coast tour and has been successful at promoting other artists and putting on successful events such as the annual Fall Jam and SNAPS Ultimate open mic, as well as he is the annual co-host for Gospel Music Festival with Shelia Belle which attracts over 10,000 people a year.

P. is more than just a rapper, he is a talent in all the fields of entertainment. From a sought after event host, to an on-air DJ, to speaking to youth and encouraging the believer, the best is truly yet to come.
