"Today on KEXP, we had Pablo on the show. I'm not kidding when I say it was one of my favorite in-studios I've had. It just blew me away to hear all these new songs from a band not many people outside of NYC had heard. Beautiful." John Richards, KEXP

Biography

The idea of PABLO was born in the living room of the Schalda house in the spring of 2004, when Paul Schalda and William Schalda Jr. began working on and writing music together again. It was in those moments that Paul began to see the musical void that had existed for him slowly being filled. It would take nearly two years and a few band changes for him to find the right fit, but in late winter of 2005 Paul found it with the Strandberg brothers and sat down to finally record the album he had always wanted to make.

“Half the Time”, the debut album from PABLO is a stunning introduction. The album was recorded in an upstate New York studio that gave PABLO the privacy and seclusion needed to capture the live raw sound of the group, and emotion of the songs.
