Bio

Somewhere in between the dive bars where many artists get there start and the trendy clubs where the young and beautiful feed off the latest sounds, you will witness the Pac 10 movement. They live to a funky beat, dress fly and etch portraits of the struggle of life in the 21st century.

As a collective, the Pac 10 was born out of San Diego’s club scene. Two local groups Mag Flux and Parker & the Numberman kept on running into each other doing shows around San Diego. Because of a mutual respect for each other’s music, they started working on songs together that laid the foundation for the Pac 10 project “Franchise Players.”

Since finishing the project, Pac 10 has performed all throughout Southern California in such places as San Diego’s 4th & B and Canes to list a few. Their album was reviewed in The UCSD Guardian as well as a song reviewed in San Diego’s Weekly Reader. Their music played on Loudspeaker at 91x, Earthbound Radio, and UCSD’s KSDT. Also worth mentioning, Pac 10’s album, “Franchise Players” was nominated for best Hip Hop Album of 2008 at The San Diego Music Awards. All of this transpired in their first year of existence.

They are currently working on a follow up album, touring the west coast and spreading the Pac 10 movement.
