"Pacific Stereo"

Maybe it's just me, but Pacific Stereo makes me feel nostalgic. It could be that I’ve known the members -Tom Bagby, Andy Birdwell, Danny Croom and Greg Wilson-for a long time and have been fan of their music throughout the years. Pacific Stereo was born from a few guys who just wanted to play music. That's it. No pressure, no bullshit...just rock and roll. They are all long time friends and you can hear that in the rhythm these guys have together. But there’s no said style to it, just ease and confidence that can only be manifested by knowing someone really well, inside and out. It ain't too deep, but it kicks serious butt, especially when it's heard live in a small club. The songs move so well together, you can actually feel the history in the music.- Amy Thompson

"Birmingham, AL (The Nick)"

Birmingham, AL (The Nick)
The Nick is one of the coolest clubs in the country, hands down, and Pacific Stereo is one of the funnest bands I have ever seen live. The Nick is a relatively small venue, but because of it´s sheer coolness factor it is still the venue of choice for touring bands like Nashville Pussy and The Reverend Horton Heat in Birmingham. The collection of autographed posters adorning the walls and ceiling was incredible, and so was the crowd at the Nick, a group of hard drinkin´ rock ready folks who have more fun on a Sunday night than most people have in a month. Pacific Stereo is a great band, and we had a great laugh with them about the irony of a Pacific Northwest band like us playing Southern rock while these Southern boys kicked out the indie rock better than anything Sub Pop or Kill Rock Stars has pimped out in years. It seemed like the place never closed; it must have been 5 in the morning before we got out of there and made our way to New Orleans. - www.icanlickanysob.com

Bio

Your laughter bounced between the walls of the alley and chased me up to the roof. We stood like statues and swore like sailors. The endless tornadoes of birds, cascading into the exhaust chutes of the abandoned buildings downtown, signaled the end of the summer. But, it wasn't sad at all. Everyone's gotta find someplace warm for a while. You smiled so big, your eyes almost closed. Hit me like that again, and I promise to kiss you on the forehead every night before you sleep. Every beer we drank, we set sail off of the roof. The construction site across the street was littered with thousands of brown, giggling diamonds, hatched from an afternoon's worth of am radio. There's a lot to be said for skipping out of work for twist-offs at dusk. We want to provide the soundtrack, laughter, and shit-eating grins, to go along with even an hour of this afternoon. Just take all that other jive and stash it in a corner. Let's all do something good for each other again. Let's bask in the warmth of honest interaction. Let's drink beer and smile. Let's rock the fuck out and kiss each other like we're about to go to jail. Let's have fun.

Pacific Stereo was formed in Birmingham, AL February of 2004 and started playing live immediately. Sharing the stage around the southeast with the likes of Mike Watt, The Burning Brides, Verbena, Brant Bjork and the Bros., The Sammies, TSAR, Injected, The Talk, Trainwreck and Taylor Hollingsworth.

December of 2004 filmed their first video for "C'mon (Go Stereo)" with Jon Holland the filmer/editor for Transworld Skateboard Magazine.

Currently putting the final touches on songs for their imminent release.
