Pactole is a four-piece band from Brussels-Belgium
musically educated in the nineties. Simple melodies, unsophisticated
arrangements, basic sounds, average performers… well at first nothing very
exciting. Yet there is something about their music. Like soul foods, which tend
to be very high in fat and calories, even if it’s not as good for your health
as trendy fashioned modern meal, you can’t resist coming back again and again to
their catchy songs. Their name is the river where king Midas washed in to get
rid of the golden touch curse. Not sure their music would turn anything to gold
for them, but as listeners you might have hit a little jackpot to cheer you up
on rainy days”.
