Painted Man is an All Star Band that transverses boundaries between funk, rock, and soul to create a truly unique entertaining style, the group is headed by All Star Guitarist, Vince "Painted Man" Peeples (Lead Guitarist- James Brown’s Soul Generals). Vince Peeples started playing the Guitar at the age of 15 and landed his first pro gig at 25, backing R&B legend Little Royal (James Brown’s Brother) out of Washington D.C for 3 years.

Later Vince moved to Myrtle Beach, SC in 1996 and two years later, Vince joined The Tony Blunt Project as the house band at The House of Blues in Myrtle Beach. They opened for groups/Artist like War, Keith Sweat, The Gap Band, P-Funk, Salt N Pepa, LL Kool J, Eric Benet, Brian McKnight, Delbert McClinton, and even Buckwheat Zydeco. After returning from Japan, backing house music diva Crystal Waters, Vince reformed Painted Man from a cover tune band to an original band, with Co-Founder Leroy Harper Jr. ("Funky"-Indorsed by James Brown, when Leroy filled the shoes of Maceo in 1991).

In 2004 Painted Man appeared on Dawson’s Creek, and two tunes from the self-titled CD were used as sound tracks for the show (Reflections, Brotha). All Star Saxophonist Leroy Harper Jr. has worked with Artist and bands such as James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Stacy Lattasaw, Millie Jackson, Nappy Brown, James Levi (Herbie Hancock-Headhunters), Soul Power Posse (Founder), Sylk (Founder), Spur of The Moment (Founder), Exit Enterprises, and many other All-Star Bands. Mr. Harper also was a guess on these following TV Shows: Late Night with David Letterman, Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, Arsenio Hall Show, LA Live-BET, Morning Fox Show, American Music Awards, Woodstock ’99, Roseanne Barr Show, James Brown Live at The House of Blues, BET Awards, Live 8, Dawson’s Creek, One Tree Hill. Leroy Also appeared in movies like Tuxedo-Starring Jackie Chan; Experience the Music Project-Dream Works, and Idlewild-Starring Outcast. Both Leroy and Vince will appear in a 2008 release entitled Bolden produced by Wynton Marsalis. Leroy quoted "I knew the Bond between Vince and I would be forever, once I heard him play the guitar!"

Included in the line-up is Will "BOZ" Bostic, He’s the lead vocalist of the band. Leroy saw him singing at church and then again at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, setting-in with the band, the band was blown away with his vocal ability, and they had to have him! Boz started singing in bands at the age of 14. Boz also plays trumpet & keyboards and worked for 2 years as a vocal coach in Japan. Influences include "Luther Vandross, Miles Davis, Philip Bailey, and all the members of Painted Man.

The band also has two protégés. The Bass Player, Brett Sisson began playing the bass guitar at age 13. He attended Marshall where he studied upright and electric bass. While at Marshall, he played with several groups on and off campus including: The Marshall 12:00 Jazz Ensemble, The Marshall 1:00 Jazz Ensemble, the electric bass ensemble, the funk feelharmonic, the Paul Bellini quintet, Groove Butter, Dark Times and others. After leaving Huntington, he moved to Myrtle Beach where he still resides.

Brett currently plays bass for Painted Man and Dedicated Magic. Last but not least Vermont Carmack is the drummer. Vermont is a life long church drummer out of Greensboro, NC, that brings a fatback groove that is the backbone of the Painted Man sound.
