"Nabil Salameh sembra aver vissuto mille vite.

Bio

A musical journey of the Salameh family, that lives between Palestine, Lebanon and Italy. Songs from the old Jaffa harbor, the Galilee, Tripoli coast and the harbor of Bari, Italy.
Singers: Nabil Salameh and Lubna Salameh.
Musicians: Michele Lobaccaro (bass guitar), Alessandro Pipino (keyboard and accordion), Nizar Radwan (ud and violine), Issa Awad (kanoon), Adel Khoury (percussion).

Palestinian Road is a new production by musicians that fate had seperated, that the wall and borders had devided and only music brings them together, despite of everything. Up until the beginning of 2009, this historical gathering has been carried on stage only once. Thanks to involvement and more tolerant policies, that have to do with approving passports for political immigrants, the family reunion is made possible and Nabil and Lubna are uniting on stage.

Nabil and Lubna Salameh's first encounter was when Lubna, a Nazareth Orchestra soloist, performed in Europe for the first time in the beginning of 2002 at the invitation of Nabil, that immigrated from Tripoli. They had performed Palestinian and Arabic folklore and over the past six years the two had met several times and widened their repertoire.
Palestinian Road is a celebration of a family's reunion.
The joint performances of the band had so far taken place only in Italy over the last six years, including the Italian television and we are on the eve of historical premieres in Bari, Italy (25/4/09), Tel Aviv, Israel (23/5/09), Mossano – Villa di Montruglio (21/6/09) and Roma – Villa Ada (23/6/09 – TBC).

Along with the singers on stage are legendary musicians, Michele Lobaccaro and Alessandro Pipino from Radiodervish; Nizar Radwan, Issa Awad and Adel Khoury from the Nazareth Orchestra.
