- 3voor12

Bio

Palio Superspeed Donkey is the name of a new young indie rock band based in Amsterdam.
4 boys of 14 and 15 years old made their first demo recently in march 2011.
All of them are scholars in class 3 and 4 of the Barlaeus Gymnasium.
They are big fans of the Arctic Monkeys, The Pixies and Pavement.
The sync-rights of one of their songs is already exploited successfully. "That's what I'm not" is used in an internet commercial of the French clothing-brand IRO, see the clip on www.iro.fr The same sync-rights were pitched for a national tv campaign of a Dutch mobile phone provider.

Their live reputation in Holland is growing fast.
Singer/guitar-player Sam Vermeulen is a mix of Alex Turner and the young John Lennon. Guitarist Willem Smit is composer and writer of all songs and drummer Camiel Muiser and bassplayer Ruben Van Weegberg are a solid and inventive rhythm-tandem. These four boys really have a special chemistry on stage.
PSSD is already invited at the alternative Dutch rock festival 'Into The Great Wide Open' on Vlieland this september (with also Deus, Pete and the Pirates and the Crystal Fighters)
All major clubs in Holland including Paradiso, Tivoli, the Melkweg etc. are booking them as support act now.
VPRO's (Dutch broadcaster) 3voor12 put "That's what I'm not" on their alternative list: VPRO's luisterpaal.

Although several labels (even majors) and promotors are chasing the band, PSSD is still unsigned.
