Hi,
We're Palomino Party, a Cardiff based 5 piece band we formed in early 2011 and have been been described as a few things to date: alternative art rock, neo psychedelic indie pop, flamenco rock, melodramatic folk rock with hints to traditional American country. We gained a name for ourselves in Cardiff after we won the Oxjam Battle of the Bands after a months of working on material. Then followed a sort of rocket launch of exposure and we were being played on Nation Radio, supporting The Kabeedies, Kaleidophone, a hefty amount of gigs, landing second place in the Big Gig 2012 to play at the Wales Welcoming Olympic celebrations and tipped by the Wales Online as one of the few Welsh Bands who will cause you to "sit up and listen in 2012" and named as part of the South Wales Sound of 2013. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/showbiz-and-lifestyle/music-in-wales/2013/01/04/the-south-wales-sound-of-2013-91466-32542448/
We love and put alot of time into our live shows (it's become sort of our thing) Within the band we all come from different aspects of theatre and drama; we have a musical theatre student, stage management training, live event and digital media educations which all go into the pot to create our "flamboyant" drama filled live shows.
