Later on Saturday night Pamela Betti and Dirty Love made their first appearance at Lefty's and I hope not their last. Even with some extra "rasp" in her voice from gigging her fanny off Pam Betti was right-on especially with her Stormy Monday. I know she loves black (and looks damn good in it) I love her in blue. Blues that is...The bluesier the song the more she has me. But thats just me. As a professional singer for the last 19 years, Pamela has opened for some some of the biggest acts in the business like Kim Wilson from the The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Dave Mason, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Poppa Chubby and she has played with Val Thomas from Little Buster and the Soul Brothers, Richie Cannata and Liberty Devito from Billy Joel's Band, Todd Wolfe AND she recently toured Seoul, Korea to rave reviews!
Pamela has an unstoppable energy, she is a true professional who knows how to entertain a crowd! Pamela's voice is a finely tuned instrument that can float through a ballad or rip through a kick ass Blues tune! Simply put,this girl can sing!
Pam's influences are Etta James, Susan Tedeschi, Bonnie Raitt, Lou Ann Barton, Rosetta Tharpe and Koko Taylor. Her stage presence is mezmerizing and she loves to play off her audience! The stage presence AND the chops is what sets this band apart from all others!!
Winner of the Long Island Blues Society Regional IBC contest..Pamela went on to compete at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN!
