Bio

Pamela Brottes discovered her passion for music when she first picked up the cello at 7 years old. Playing difficult pieces well beyond her age, she started to perform numerous live concerts and string orchestras for most of her childhood.

At the age of 14, she began to write and produce songs as well as compose music. For the next few years, she recorded extensively in a studio, and decided to pick up the acoustic guitar and piano to further push her musical boundaries. Influenced by rock and folk music from the 60s and 70s, combined with the discovery of jazz, folk and rock artists such as thelonious monk, Neil Young and Led Zeppelin opened her mind up to new musical creative ideas and possibilities.

In 2008, Pamela Brottes put together an 8 piece band consisting of a 3 piece horn section which brought her songs to life and on stage at venues such as Sala Rossa, Club Lambi and Jello Bar. Two years later, she picked up the electric guitar and met singer Samuel Kweku Kwofie. Their musical chemistry led them to collaborate on a pop rock blues project emphasizing dynamic harmonies and melodies.

Working on her solo project for the past two years now, Pamela Brottes, has completed the pieces previously worked on with Samuel Kweku Kwofie. The present music is darker with a unique raw feel and energy. While the vocals are soulful and empowering, themes speak of feelings of restlessness, unease and lost love.
