Lyrics

I Miss You

Written By: Pamela Martin

I've been pushing limits I don't have
for love that I wanted bad enough
to drive blind with faith and a pocket full of change
So I said goodbye, got out of town
I put my headlights on when the sun went down
I found a place to rest my weary head
I thought about nothing just tried to forget about you

I miss you
I miss you

Maybe I'll find my way home
Maybe I won't
Maybe I'll think better
Maybe I'll just keep goin
Maybe I'll find this love's too small
Maybe I'll find the strength To let it all go

(Br)We've done this so many time's before
Someone opens up someone slams the door
And we always end up in the same place
I can't understand why my heart breaks...everytime

I miss you
I miss you
I miss you, I miss you, I miss you

maybe I'll find my way home
maybe I won't...

Innocence

Written By: Pamela Martin

Just a little ride down the lane
Just a little ride down the lane
I'll take you with me if you want to go
We'll go by the streets we know by name
Remember when life seemed so sane..and I believed.
Before everything changed

Just a little ride down the lane
It's been years but I hope this old heart knows the way again
To where the wind doesn't blow but talks to me
Birds tell you stories when you're free to hear...their sweet refrain

If we could get back the innocence
the beauty of the life we made when we met
the ground beneath our feet
the key to everything
the calm in between you and me...

Just a little ride down the lane
Just a little ride down the lane
I'll take you with me if you want to go
We'll go to the river and drown our shame
Find a spot in the meadow to bury the blame
Sleep upon the new seed

If we could get back the innocence
the beauty of the life we made when we met
the ground beneath our feet
the key to everything
the calm in between you and me...

If I could give back this bitterness
the feeling that there's always something missing
that would be just fine with me

Just a little ride down the lane
Just a little ride down the lane
I'll take you with me if you want to go
