""While I Wait" is good radio fare"

Because of my own personal faith, I was excited to actually have a fellow Christian artist to review, and Pam Shuler’s While I Wait is good Christian radio fare. Shuler’s vocals throughout the CD are pleasant and exactly what Christian radio is looking for. Toni Groshek’s backup vocals are a nice compliment to Shuler’s vocals, the piano is great throughout, and the arrangements by Mike Barden are nicely written.

“Holy” has a nice groove and strong vocals, including the backup vocals. It's a good representation of the style of Contemporary Christian that Shuler prefers to perform — a contemporary pop, which allots for many gigs in churches, both traditional and contemporary.

“Great is Thy Faithfulness” is a great arrangement of a traditional hymn..............“Someone to Watch Over Me” is a pleasant rendition of the Gershwin classic from the musical Oh, Kay! The piano and vocals are lovely, and THANK YOU for keeping it simple in the arrangement with only vocals and piano.

“While I Wait” is my personal favorite on the CD. The piano is, once again, tasteful. This is a great original piano/acoustic guitar ballad, and a nice change from the other more “pop” songs. Denise Squier - Indie-Music A&R (Dec 3, 2007) - by Denise Squier, Indie-Music

"review of Everything to Me (TAXI A&R)"

" I like how the chorus melody keeps building. I think the melody is joyful and anthem-like. The music is structured well. The chorus section contrasts with the verses. I think the lyric is heartfelt and sincere. I hear this song's style as more traditional inspirational Christian, in terms of the current youth-oriented CCM genres. I enjoyed listening to this heartfelt song." - TAXI

Bio

Pam Shuler is a singer/songwriter who currently lives in the Midwest. The genres she most often sings are country, pop rock, and Contemporary Christian. Most recently, Casting Crowns, Selah, Michael W. Smith and FFH have influenced her.

“ Pam Shuler is a recognized name and notable voice in the southeast Wisconsin region. Her sunny smile and charisma lend themselves to the stage.” She has been featured at dozens of regional venues including the Beaver Dam Home & Business Expo, Dodge County Senior Expo, Battle of the Christian Bands, regional bookstores and area festivals. Her CDs are on sale in WI, CA, Michigan, and Indiana, and on several web sites including www.pamshuler.com, Target.com, Amazon.com, and AppleiTunes.com.

Pam’s debut CD, “While I Wait,” was released in 2007. About this project, Pam comments “This life can be difficult, but the waiting process is essential to build and strengthen our faith. One thing I am sure of – God sees the big picture and we cannot. His answers are always the best and his timing is perfect.”

Pam is currently recording her second CD at Paradyme Studios in Madison, WI. The songs of this project cover life principles using modern country and pop rock sounds. Some new songs are "Put On Our Armor" and "My Southern Home".

“Music has always been an important part of my life,” says Pam. In fact, Pam has been singing and entertaining audiences since she was four years old. “When we were still children, my twin sister and I performed at a gospel sing near Versailles, IN. I remember the thrill of singing in front of a full crowd at the church and loving every minute. My singing started in the church and it has flourished there. I had many opportunities to sing and improve my talents. My grandmother, Marie, a renowned music instructor, encouraged me to perform and that opened many doors for me.” It was while Pam was putting herself through engineering school in Flint, Michigan that she gave her heart to the Lord. She was forever changed. Pam has performed a wide variety of musical genres, but her favorites are inspirational, pop rock, and modern country.

In 2001, Pam, along with her family, moved to Wisconsin. Since that time, she has actively pursued music writing and performing as a profession.

Pam still gives her time to be part of the Praise and Worship Team in her local church as well as to lead worship through music across the states. She endeavors to use her musical gifts to encourage and to inspire others.
