Bio

From the panache photo shoot on the beaches of Malibu to the gritty streets of the downtown rehearsal studio, Pan America comes to you from the sundry realms of the California coast line. Mixing in the hard hitting lyrics of indie rock, combined with the catchy hooks of pop music, Pan America's well rounded talent shines through. Showcasing songs with romantic elegance against the backdrop of heartbreak, with streaming guitars and sweep you off your feet vocals, the eclectic sound is sure to catch the ears of music lovers.

The day that Josh Hogan (Vocals/Guitar) packed his bags and moved from his native Oklahoma to Los Angeles, California was the day he became a rock star. Starting his musical career in local church plays it was a given that from the start Josh was a natural front man. Heading west to front a band in California, Josh was sadly dissapointed when the band fell through, leaving the singer not knowing where to turn.

Michael Vincze was born in the famed "valley" of California. Born into presitge with Rebellion in his soul, Michael took refuge in music. While beating up guitars seemed like a distant fantasy, Michael kept honing his craft, all for becoming the best artist he could be.

It was in the summer of 2008 that Josh and Michael crossed paths through a mutual producer and it was very much the early cementings of Pan America. The two started writing what was to become the first Pan America EP.

It wasnt long after that Josh and Michael added Sean Moore (Bass) into the group. Also an Oklahoma native, Sean played in bands alongside Josh growing up.

Also added to the group was Jim Wakefield (Keys) who is best known for his wit and charm. A fantastic and accomplished pianist Jim's contribution is key to the Pan America sound.

The group could not be complete without a drummer, which they seemed to be lacking. It was through Pan America's manger that Anthony Sonetti, who studies at the famed Musician's Insititue in Hollywood, California came to the four-some. "Anthony was the first drummer we auditioned, and we did what your parents tell you not to do, we went with the first guy! It was just the perfect fit. We didnt want to play with anyone else." says Josh.

With the memebers of Pan America in place, it was time to start practicing and writing new material. The band has played locally around Los Angeles and are working on releasing their second EP, Will We Ever Learn? in early Fall 2009.
