Bio

6-member band fronted by 2 vocalists (male and female):

DEANN ...

At the age of three, DeAnn Sanders knew that she was going to be a singer. Anywhere there was a microphone, DeAnn would find some way to get to it.

DeAnn is a very versatile artist. She can hit those high notes in songs by bands like Heart, Journey, Katy Perry and P!nk to name a few.  Her biggest influence comes from her Uncle Randy.  Armed with a Gibson guitar and a book of original, he introduced DeAnn to early 70's folk music. They performed together in small venues around town, singing until the guitar strings broke or DeAnn lost her voice, which ever came first.  Uncle Ray has since passed, but she will never forget him saying "DeAnn you have a gift that few people have - I want you to use it." DeAnn has done recording work in Nashville and she has been in several bands through the years.  She has also written and recorded some of her own songs.  As the newest member of "Pandora Rocks", DeAnn is excited and can't wait to give the region a taste of her unique voice and style.

LARRY ...
Larry began drumming at age 9 when he portrayed "The Little Drummer Boy" in a school play.  The fire really started to burn after seeing Ringo on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964.  Lessons and a real drum set followed.  He began playing in local bands and later majored in music, earning a Bachelor's Degree from DePaul University in Chicago.

After college, Larry became a drum teacher and joined the "Skafish" band.  The band signed with Miles Copeland's (Manager of "The Police" band) record company and went on a major European tour as the opening act for the Police.   Larry then moved to Los Angeles, and hooked up with the famous Iggy Pop and performed during a World Tour with Iggy's band.  Larry now enjoys his land in Indiana, and he continues to perform in bands.   He is the newest member of Pandora Rocks.

FRED ...
Fred has has been entertaining Chicagoland and NW Indiana crowds for years as a member of bands like Second Wind, Listen Up and others.  His influences come from artists such as Steve Perry, Sammy Hagar, Steven Tyler and other high flying voices.  With Fred's high energy on stage and his great voice, you won't want to miss out on a great night of entertainment and fun!

GREGG ...
Gregg plays lead and rhythm guitars for Pandora Rocks. He has been playing guitar since grade school and was a music major in college. He has been playing in bands and forming bands since the early 70's and he knows what it takes to please an audience. Gregg has played jazz, country, pop, funk, rock, classic rock and progressive rock and has led several bands to regional popularity. Gregg and the keyboardist (Jerry) have put together Pandora Rocks by carefully choosing the best musicians in the region and thoughtfully formulating the musical theme and repertoire. Under his guidance, Pandora Rocks has become a first class band of performers.

BOBBY ...
One of our newest band members, Bobby was born and raised in alumet City, Illinois.  He began playing the bass guitar in the early 80's. Fusion, funk, classic rock and progressive rock music showcase Bobby's unique bass styles. Through the years he has been a member in the some of Chicagoland 's better known bands, such as The Attitudes, Blaze, Infinity, Back Tracks and many more. Bobby's passion for great music, his experience, his stellar ability, style, and fun stage presence make him the perfect guy to hold up that "low end" that today's rock bands need.

JERRY ...
Jerry uses his unique talent and technical skills as the band's keyboard player. He is a classically trained pianist, arranger and composer that's been playing and performing since the age of 9. Throughout his teenage years and adult life, he has been a member of some of the top local bands. He has performed with "warm up" acts for top bands that call Chicagoland "home". Jerry studied piano, classical music, and theory at the Chicago Conservatory of Music, but his heart has always been in pop and rock music. After a long hiatus, Jerry returned to the music scene. You probably won't see Jerry in the spotlight, but his unique contribution to the band make Pandora Rocks a memorable experience.
