Miami's own/good friend Panic Bomber just released a new EP yesterday called Discipline on YYZ Records. He was kind enough to send a copy our way and as everything this man touches it is golden! All three tracks are solid! He just keeps pumping out them catchy electronic dance jams like he has an unlimited reservoir. My two favorites are 'Discipline' and the slow jam 'Perfection and Grace'. - Off the Radar

Discipline finds Haig finally relishing the electronic music genre and taking pride in the music he’s mak- ing — which he should considering he seems to have a natural talent for it. ... This leaves us wondering if his next full-length might be the thing that tips him over the edge and earns him more national recognition. - Miami New Times

Miami’s Richard Haig, aka Panic Bomber, is changing all that. While his electro style is undoubtedly rooted in house, his background in indie rock bands and his degree in composition from Miami U give him the edge and theoretical skills to step outside the after-hours box to explore a wider range of possibilities. IDM beats, pop synths and experimental left turns like the jazzy horns in Can’t Sleep pepper this genre-expanding EP. - Now Toronto

He’s definitely a true madman on the synths... His accessible lyrics add a personal touch that will win over those pensive college radio types as well. - Miami New Times

..what Haig produces as an artist is a cocktail of all that is 'fast-paced' and stimulating; a surefire way to rev your engine all night long. - CWG Magazine
The music he makes, regardless of the reasoning behind it, is slick and dance-friendly. It works up to a funky electro-house groove that's rough enough around the edges to belie its creator's rock roots. ... Look out for him at a more discerning -- hmmm, some would say "hip" -- dance club near you. - Miami New Times

This American based in Miami defeats, with disconcerting ease, an electro-pop and housey cocktail sung with strange ravey twists of direction. This music is deceptively innocent and terribly engaging. - Trax Magazine, France

Bio
Panic Bomber is a new breed of dance floor innovator who is quickly attracting worldwide praise. The brainchild of Richard Haig, a Miami-based musician who graduated with a degree in Music from the University of Miami, and cut his chops playing in a variety of indie rock and punk bands. The music is instantly appealing, familiar to electronic music enthusiasts yet difficult to place in any one genre, incorporating elements of electro, tech-house, trance, pop, rock, IDM, or whatever else a particular piece calls for.
Panic Bomber's breakout track “Smooth Sailor” was featured in the February 2009 sampler of Trax, France's biggest electronic music magazine. The Miami New Times selected him as the "Best New Electronica Artist" in their Best of Miami 2009 issue in part due to debut EP Calling in Threats. His LP released Dec 2009, Getting on My Mind, was number one album at Sweat Records in Miami the week before Christmas, and received a number of "Best Album of 2009" accolades. Moving forward at a prolific pace, PB released the Discipline EP on Canadian label YYZ Records in March 2010 to critical acclaim from the likes of Big Stereo. He has remixed Family of the Year, Kidstreet, Jeremy Glenn, among others. The "Getting on My Mind" music video will debut in July 2010.
Panic Bomber's explosive shows include live vocals, keyboards, and often a 3-piece horn section. Notable perfoances include sold out shows in London, Glasgow, Toronto, and Miami with appearances at Pride Toronto and Ultra Music Festival.
