Born and Raised in Thousand Oaks California,  Evan Thomas always had an interest in music and performing. At the age of 10, his father gave him his first guitar. Evan taught himself how to play and was inspired by many greats artists, such as Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Ted Nugent, Bob Segar, Van Halen, Allman Bros, and eventually got turned on to SRV, BB King, Eric Clapton, Ottis Rush, Freddy King,Buddy Guy, etc... Where he found his comfort in blues! Evan Moved up to the San Francisco Bay area in 1996, where he was able to follow his dream. By early 2000’s Evan Thomas had put a brand new band together called Papa’s Garage by placing an ad titled “ Puttin’ A Band Together ”. This was not just any band. Evan has a knack of taking familiar songs and changing classic arrangements slightly to make them his own style. Some say “Evan Thomas takes old songs and makes them Current.” others state , “Watching this band is a total Experience!” For the past several years, Evan Thomas has played many venues, fairs and festivals. Even though the band members change here and there, the one thing that is always constant is Evan Thomas and his willingness to learn and grow!

Now Evan Thomas is recognized and respected as a fine musician and guitarist through out Northern and Southern California. If you like Funk, Soul and High Energy Blues, You must see Evan Thomas and his band Papa’s Garage.
