Bio

Paperboy Jack emerged when lead singer Amanda Sonic joined forces with the guitarist, bassist, and drummer from the melodic rock band, Corporate Whore in September 2004. The music is guitar driven, melodic rock with catchy hooks that keep people humming the tunes for days. Paperboy Jack is a mainstream, radio-friendly rock band that is somewhat of a Jimmy Eat World meets No Doubt and old-school Blondie.

Prior to co-founding Paperboy Jack, Amanda Sonic won numerous pop rock vocalist awards in Canada. She recieved a nomination for best indie female for the Georgia Straight music awards, and the song "Sundrop" was in rotation on The Fox's 99.3 spotlight.

Paperboy Jack has released a DVD video of their first single "Pause", which showcases Amanda's soft and soothing voice in the verses and powerful, edgy side in the choruses.

Corporate Whore built a loyal fan base in Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, and San Francisco . They recorded a top quality 11-song album at world-renowned Ardent Studios (REM, 3 Doors Down, Gin Blossoms) in July 2003. “Runaway”, the first single off the CW album is a solid modern rock song that is being played on indie and college radio stations across the country. The band has been featured on LAUNCH, Yahoo’s music site and was invited to play a showcase at SXSW in Austin in March 2004. M Productions has listed CW as one of “LA’s Top 25 Bands to Watch.”

Now Paperboy Jack, the all-star lineup from Corporate Whore and Amanda Sonic are ready to roll.

The band has currently played over 80 shows in 24 states in the last 5 months. They are touring full-time and are on track to log over 150 shows in 2005.
