Paper Chasas

Polo & Surge “The Paper Chasers” are natives of New Orleans who rose above all odds and weathered the storm and continue living the Life. Katrina’s wrath destroyed many lives but not their dreams. Surge comes from an upbringing as a youngster, stems from Uptown (Josephine and Saratoga) and he lived his teenage life in the 17th (Holygrove). His partner, Polo Tee grew up in the St. Thomas projects. Katrina provided a unique opportunity for some. Polo & Surge began their musical carriers in different sections of the crescent city, but their paths crossed in Dallas Texas where they combined 16 years of musical experience to form the group the Paper Chasers. Polo & Surge signed to Wunder Boy Records wrote and produced the highly anticipated debut album of the year Hater Proof.

In Hip Hop, you have to be bigger than the streets your represent. You have to be more than just another New Orleans voice on mixtapes and features. You have to be inventive and creative starting a new movement combining street knowledge in a positive light giving hope to all listeners who believe they can overcome the worse situation and still make it.

The New Orleans natives have generated a new unique sound of delivery and have radio stations across the country playing their music with the anticipation of the second album to be released under Wunder Boy Records, an Independent Record label who assists in developing aspiring artists. Providing artist with opportunity to be creative with no restriction and supporting them as they give their fans music they can relate to with a positive message.
