"The more I listen to the new Papership EP, the more I like it (and I liked it from the start!)
Every one of the songs kick ass.
My favorite tracks are Scratch, Big Chief, and Runnin' To Yourself. In my opinion, the tension created by the keys and the manic vocals on Scratch really make the song. It holds you on the edge like a Hitchcock movie. I Love it!
And on Big Chief, the opening riffs pull you right in. Until the vocal comes in, and then the change, the feel of the song is somewhat reminiscent of Murray Head in the beginning of One Night in Bankok. (Don't take that as a bad thing.) Once the vocals come in and the change, any thought of that goes away.
