The heavily melodic and tantalizingly avant garde PAPER ZOO consists of Allister Izen, William Thomas Wesley II, Monte Dyaami Najera and Martin Lopez.

Shows
Originally a power trio, they had dedicated their lives to music at a very young age. A chance meeting with Linda Perry at Guitar Center tied them into the studio scene. Linda, who from the beginning had encouraged them to move forward, introduced the trio to long time friend Damon Fox. Being the ringleader of the bombastic Bigelf, he was immediately able to wrap his head around what could only be described as a band in its adolescence.

Keyboards
Together they have spent the years on the sunset strip, pulling inspiration from timeless influences and honing in their songwriting skills. As time passed recordings were made, and the growth continued. The idea of keyboards soon presented itself as a way to step up into a higher stratosphere. Damon opened the can of worms when he made the call to start sitting in on shows. Keyboards became even more prominent in their recordings
New Addition
Unable to ignore this fact the band reached out to keyboardist Martin Lopez, who added more depth of color to their sound and more hair to what is now a fully realized quartet. Rehearsals and recordings continued until Linda noticed the growth and made the called to sign them to Custard Records.
EP
Their debut EP is a Frankenstein creation of rough demos recorded over the span of several visits to Linda Perry's Kung Fu Gardens. It was produced by Damon Fox and later mixed by Alain Johannes, who has also collaborated with many other bands such as Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures.
Roger Daltrey
Following the good news of their addition to Custard Records came word of an amazing opportunity. The Who front man Roger Daltrey, whom will be embarking on his first solo tour since 1985, has decided to invite Paper Zoo along for the ride. This will be Paper Zoos first tour ever, let alone their first handful of shows outside of Los Angeles.
