Juan Morales, professionally known as “Papito” is a proud “Nuyo-Rican” who has music pulsing through his veins. His father was an active singer and was always taking his son to rehearsals and practices. Papito got his first taste of the stage when at one of his father’s shows his backup singer didn’t show up and he had to fill in. From that day forward he knew that music was his true calling. Papito took to the studio in 1999 with producers D’Mingo & Roberto Navarro when he recorded a remake of Ismael Miranda’s version of Nelson Ned’s song “Me Voy Ahora”. The various compilations and albums that Papito has participated in have sky rocketed his success opening his career up for collaborations with the likes of (Huey Dunbar, Fragancia, Liqui Loko, Kabballa, Chester, Blady, Conjunto Clasico, Johnny Rivera, Manny Mieles, Shabakan, Fuera De Ley, Hector Luis Pagan, etc). A few of those compilations and albums included Choko’s “Colombiano en Nueva York” (Sony Discos), “Pepo Pepin”, “Reggaeton Con Otro Flow” and “Asi Lo Hacemos” (Jellybean Recording). Papito has also done 3 very successful albums of his own. His first album was a Salsa album “No Se” produced by his vocal coach Manny Mieles and Hector Luis Pagan (Head Singer for Conjunto Classico). His Second Album “Sur 4” was an album of various different fusions produced by Miguel Bonilla. His current album “Pa Encima” has taken a while to complete because the styling is so different from anything that he has done before. It is an album with messages that everyone can relate to. It contains Baladas, Reggaeton, Salsa and Reggae with no explicit lyrics. Being that it’s Papito’s passion that drives him to keep moving forward in search of his dreams Papito’s goals in the music industry are simple. He would like to reach the world with his lively musical experience and hopes that people will love his music as much as he does.
