Bio

Parachute Musical began three years ago with the composition of the album's single, Arrhythmia. Singer, songwriter and piano front man, Josh Foster, began collaborating on the single and a few other songs with bassist and friend Matt Dowling. Soon they would find themselves accompanied by Ben Jacoby (Drums) and a string of various guitarist (Kevin Klein, Eric Lewis and Tom Gilbert) all who, at various points, left the band and were replaced by equally talented musicians.

About one year into the fiasco, Jacoby decided to try life out in Milwaukee, WI and thus left the band. He was then replaced by Pete Moffett (Burning Airlines, Government Issue, Wool). This was short lived due to the fact that he is an in demand drum tech and had to leave for career reasons. He then was replaced by Brian Hospital (Deleted Scenes).

Then one rainy day in the summer of 2006, Josh went to a concert in DC. After the concert, he realized that nothing along the lines of what he had just seen would ever be possible for Parachute Musical with the way things were going in Maryland. That night he bought a plane ticket to Nashville, TN where his guitar player and friend Tom Gilbert lives. Little did he know that Ben Jacoby, his original drummer, had also been checking things out in Nashville a week before and was boarding a plane home from TN just as Josh was getting off of one. After a weeklong stay in Nashville it was apparent what needed to be done.

Josh moved to Nashville in the beginning of January and was soon joined by Ben Jacoby the following month. Josh, Ben and Tom, with the goal of making rock their living, began Parachute Musical once again. They called on a friend of Tom’s, Kyle Cornett to play bass.

Now that the band is back together, they are collaborating on new material and have started recording an EP set to release in the summer of ‘07. For the first time, Parachute Musical has a future.
