Bio

Parachute Stage is comprised of Brad Bahner (Drums), Brian Saitta (Lead Guitar), Tony Dini (Bass), and Dee Ginicola (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar). They are based in Deep River, Connecticut, where half of the members reside; the other’s stem from the New Haven region of CT. The music of Parachute Stage is all original and written by band-front, Dee Ginicola. She has been writing and playing acoustic styled music most of her adult life, but it wasn’t until the formation of the band that her sound truly evolved. The musical style of Parachute Stage definitely stems from the inspiration of artists such as Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews Band, Brandi Carlile, and the Grateful Dead.

Parachute Stage formed in the fall of 2009. Brian, Dee, and Tony had known each other for a few years prior and had always talked about getting together with a drummer and jamming on a few of Dee’s originals. Brian had then contacted friend and accomplished drummer Brad Bahner to set up the meeting. When the whole group finally got together an instant musical connection was made. It’s been no turning back since and the band has been busy writing and recording new material ever since.

Brad Bahner has been a percussionist/drummer since an early age and has really evolved into a diverse musician. Brad attended the Greater Harford Acadamy of the Arts in CT throughout high school and is currently enrolled in the Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA. Brad has performed in many groups throughout his career including rock & roll/funk cover bands, jazz combos, and big bands. Brad’s biggest musical influence is DMB drummer Carter Beauford which reflects greatly in his playing.

Lead guitarist Brian Saitta has been playing guitar since age 13 and was previously trained as a classical and jazz saxophonist. Stemming from an ancestry of artists and musicians, Brian draws his influences from two major guitar legends of the past, David Gilmour and Jimmy Paige. Both have greatly influenced Brian to become the player he his today, combining the melodic and minimalistic playing of Gilmour with the high powered blues rock of Paige give Brian his own unique sound. Brian has performed in several venues throughout the state of CT including the Webster Theatre, Toads Place, the Madison Arts Barn, and The Space to name a few.

Bassist Tony Dini was also trained as a classical musician throughout his younger years when he played the trombone throughout grade school. He then picked up the guitar during his high school years and is now playing bass for an original blues band from New Haven, CT as well as Parachute Stage. Tony is a very versatile musician who can play a variety of instruments and is also a very talented singer and songwriter. Some of Tony’s influences are Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the Grateful Dead, and My Morning Jacket.
