"Paradigm brought in an amazing crowd for our Band Jam at the College of Dupage. Their fans seem to really appreciate their music, and all the members have an enormous amount of energy on stage...Paradigm is one of the first bands in a very long time to display such raw and emotionally charged music to our College of Dupage battle of the bands. They are definately the hope for the future!" - Danielle Brown and Sarah Duff - Booking Producers (from the College of Dupage Alter Ego Productions

"Rock On!"

"My ears were paralyzed when I heard Paradigm - in a good way, of course." Rock on!" - Brian the Whipping Boy - 94.7 the Zone (Chicago, IL)

"Awesome!"

"These guys are awesome. I mean, you don't know me, but I swear, I'm not lying! Just listen to Paradigm!" - Sludge - 94.7 the Zone (Chicago, IL)

"Rock!"

"This is a band that makes rock music more than stereotypes. They are an awesome combo of relevance and a range that can get anybody!" - Kev Kellam - WXAV 88.3 FM (St. Xavier University, IL)

"This band is awesome – the harmonies, vocals, and instrumentals are surprisingly great – hard to find these days – as well as the superb drumming and bass companionship. Well worth seeing again and again!” - Brian Keenan: Musician/Certified Communications Engineer (from The Scoreboard Ltd - Bridgeview, IL)

"Our station manager rocked out to your track "The Truth Surround" all this morning, so we are assuming it will get heavy rotation. He doesn't usually do that!” - Josh Schoffner: Programming Director for Streetblast Radio.

"100 MILES AN HOUR ROCK…Generally it seems that musically your all moving in the same direction with no apparent weak member (although you might keep an understudy stand-in for the drummer because with songs at that tempo 5 nights a week you're likely to kill him off.) Great guitar parts, distinguishable vocals, and I really like the guitar climb in Lost and Found, and not forgetting the bass player who manages to stay with the drummer.” - Chris Webb: Sound Transfusion at Sonicbids

"My name is Chris Mackinnon and I just listened to some of your tracks that are available on purvolume.com. Recently, I have aquired a permanent position as a host of the campus radio station at my university (UCCB).
While filling this position I am planning to showcase more unheard/not mainstream music, avoiding what most
of the other dj's tend to play. I would appriciate it very much if you would grant me approval to play your
music on my radio spot." - Chris Mackinnon (Mad Mack) of UCCB Radio

Bio

Paradigm creates music that is meant to take you somewhere. That has been the main goal of principle songwriter/lyricist Nate Leslie since the band's start in early 2001. Instead of stating here the whole history of member changes, conflicts, successes and failures, what can be said is that Paradigm today sounds nothing like the early days. Endless jamming and never-ending guitar solos have been replaced by the all-important melody and hook. Paradigm is now an indie band that writes catchy songs, but not at the expense of content, depth, and meaning.

Their sound is influenced by a vast number of artists and bands, but it primarily contains traces of eary Foo Fighters, the Goo Goo Dolls, Stars, Smashing Pumpkins, The Killers, and Third Eye Blind. Or put even more simply: Coldplay on speed.

The band earned their reputation in the Chicagoland area by winning nearly a dozen battle of the bands competitions, including those held by Triton College, Columbia College in Chicago, College of Dupage (twice), and the State of Illinois local battle pof the bands. Where their primary musical goal was to play louder, faster, and more technically dazzling music than any other band, now the primary focus is writing songs that can be related to by any listener.
